DB2Portal.com is the brainchild
of Craig S. Mullins, president and principal consultant of
Mullins Consulting,
Inc. and Double Loop Marketing LLC, an Internet strategy
and consulting company.
A data management strategist and consultant,
Craig has more than two decades of experience in all facets of database
systems development. He
has developed and taught DB2 and SQL Server classes, been a systems
analyst and designer, worked in multiple capacities as a DBA and
system administrator, as well as performing data analysis and modeling.
He has worked with DB2 for z/OS and OS/390 since Version 1 and has
experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and
IMS. Craig has worked as a DBA, developer, instructor, and analyst
in multiple industries including manufacturing, banking, commercial
software development, education, research, utilities, and consulting.
Craig is the author of the book DB2
Developer's Guide published by SAMS
Publishing. The book contains more than 1500 pages of in-depth
technical information on DB2 for z/OS and OS/390 updated through
DB2 Version 8 (May 2004).

is also the author of

industry publications, having authored more than one hundred articles
in the past several years. His articles have appeared in popular
industry magazines including Data Management Review, DBMS, DB2 Update,
DB2 Magazine, Oracle Update, SQL Server Update, and many others.

Craig
is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He has spoken
to thousands of technicians about database management and administration
issues at such conferences as Database and Client/Server World,
SHARE, GUIDE,
DAMA Symposium and Metadata Conference, the IBM DB2 Technical
Conference, the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG),
and Oracle World.
He has also spoken at regional database user groups across North
America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Craig is also a member of
the
IDUG volunteers hall of fame.
Craig graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a double
major in Computer Science and Economics, and a minor in Mathematics.
